Our pilots have logged more than 8000 hours of flying experience over the foothills and mountains of Alberta and British Columbia.
Our operational experience includes thousands of hours of wildlife tracking, survey and radio-telemetry operations.
The Pilots
Wildlife Air is continually training and upgrading pilot skills. We are vigilant to ensure a culture of safety and efficiency within the Wildlife Air organization. All of our pilots have a minimum of 1200 hours of flight experience and receive their indoctrination and recurrent training directly from the Chief Pilot.
The Management
The management of the company have direct and immediate involvement of all aspects of the company's operations.
With a combined total of more than 40 years of entrepreneurial management experience, Wildlife has grown as a dynamic and active organization with clearly established operating principles and vision.
History
Wildlife Air was founded in 1998 to support several wildlife research projects active in Southern Alberta. In 2008, the company was purchased by, Sean Biesbroek & Hank Biesbroek (Son & Father) Sean & Hank, along with Mike Dupuis are actively involved in aviation and have extensive experience in Air Operations and Facility Management.
The principles started performing wildlife research support in 1988 with a small single-engine Bellanca Citabria monitoring fishing activity on the Bow Valley watershed. Experience with various single-engine trainers and high-performance "bush-type" aircraft, the Cessna Super Skymaster was determined to be the aircraft model of choice around which, a successful and safe business could be built.
Wildlife Air has been delivering specialized services to a growing number of clients while establishing itself as an authority in Wildlife telemetry operations and Laser Mapping.
With an extensive knowledge of Alberta and southern British Columbia, Wildlife Air has been able to provide and support a wide range of aerial services ranging from Movie Set and Aircraft location, wildlife research support, laser mapping and imaging, oilfield support, hot-shot services, and moving people where they need to be when they need to be there.
